JESUS' "AHA!" MOMENT

Here are some interior monologues by Jesus just at the moment when he came up out of the Jordan after being baptized by John. He sees the dove and hears the voice from heaven saying, "This is my beloved son. Listen to him" These latter words are a citation from Is 42:1, and Jesus recognizes them as being about the mysterious "Suffering Servant" who will suffer for his people. The assignment is to write about Jesus's reaction, his "Aha! moment."

My Beautiful People

            I can’t get cocky though, yeah but I am the man alright… but I am humble. These are my people after all. Keep it cool Jesus, keep it cool. Man this is weird, I feel nervous but like a good kind of nervous.. If that makes any sense. This baptism is making me feel something. All these beautiful men, woman and children staring at me like I am someone special, someone important… I get it!. I am the son of God! I am the savior of all these beautiful people! Now what?...
