JESUS' "AHA!" MOMENT

Here are some interior monologues by Jesus just at the moment when he came up out of the Jordan after being baptized by John. He sees the dove and hears the voice from heaven saying, "This is my beloved son. Listen to him" These latter words are a citation from Is 42:1, and Jesus recognizes them as being about the mysterious "Suffering Servant" who will suffer for his people. The assignment is to write about Jesus's reaction, his "Aha! moment."

Phew...It's finally over...Or is it?...I feel something new... What is it?... This feeling...I can't seem to shake it

off... I have never experienced this before... There's only one explanation for this sudden happiness.. I can't

believe it... I WAS CHOSEN... ME!!!!!... But ...Why?... I am but a simple man from a simple household...

This voice.. So soothing... It comes from above... It's saying something... Save the world?... HOW CAN

I!!!!... What can I do to save these people?... I know exactly what I can do... Because I am the Suffering

servant from the scriptures... I was born to do this... I should go right now... But wait... I can't do it alone...

All this work... Humankind is very difficult to enlighten... Oh this light... I see this dove is here for me to help,

so my father is here for me... I should start as soon as possible... So that all of the world can experience

what I'm feeling now... Which is...
